The idea behind location portraiture is simple, a person’s true personality and individuality shines at its brightest when they are allowed to be themselves in a familiar environment. Unobtrusive observation is especially great for children as it allows the documentation of spontaneous smiles and laughter, as well as the unique and truly magical expressions a child makes as they explore the world around them.

Q: Which is better, Morning or Sunset Photography Sessions in Cyprus?
A: They are both great, it really depends on the look you want for your pictures.  If you are going for a Beach Portrait Session or a Park Portrait Session; The mornings give a brighter more exotic look, they also tend to be less windy. The Cyprus Sunset Portrait Session offers a gorgeous pink/ orangey light and is a unique opportunity to have a gorgeous reminder of the natural beauty of Cyprus.

I personally recommend mornings for families with small children.  Kids are usually more focused in the morning and have more energy.  It can be hard for kids to play in the sun all day, then stay focused for up to an hour and a half when they are hungry for dinner!

Q: Where do you recommend taking photographs?
A: There are many great locations in Cyprus! By shooting in the comfort of your own home you are able to enjoy a unique, relaxing atmosphere that fosters genuinely fun and enjoyable photo sessions for you and your family. If you prefer an outdoor location for a more natural or urban look such as the beautiful beaches of Cyprus or any of the parks, this can also be arranged. Any other suggestions are always welcome.

Q: What should we wear for our Cyprus Portrait Session?
A: First and foremost, wear something you feel good in!  The better you feel the better your portraits will be! My goal is to bring out your individual personality as well as the feel for the family as a whole.  It is tough to do that when everyone is wearing the same thing! Try to coordinate (that is, not clash) rather than match. My favorite colors on the beach are browns, blues, pinks and greens. Try a neutral base like khaki pants for the guys then throw in splashes of color with tops, dresses or jewellery on the ladies.

General Tips: Wear something comfortable that you can move in  and if you are planning on being on the beach, something you don't mind getting a little sea water and sand on! Avoid loud patterns and prints or large logos, these sometimes look strange in pictures (especially stripes) and logos will make your pictures look dated quicker as brands and trends change quickly.

Q: How many pictures do you take in a Photography session?
A: There is no limit to the number of pictures we take during your photo session, this usually ends up being between 200-300 pictures.  The amount of pictures you will get on disc will depend on your package selection.
